Young trot singer Park Hyun-bin will spice up the upcoming National Assembly elections by singing campaign songs free of charge.

If candidates request that he sing his new song ``Shabang Shabang'' and the hit ``Trust Me'' with revised lyrics, the 26-year-old singer will sing them, his agency, Inwoo Production, said Tuesday.

``I have no idea about politics but I heard a low turnout is expected in the elections. I hope my songs will help make the elections a great festival for everyone,'' Park said. The elections are slated for April 9.

Campaign songs he will sing would play during the official campaigning period from late March.

In the presidential election last December, three major candidates, including unsuccessful runner Chung Dong-young of the then-governing United New Democratic Party, used his songs as campaign music.

Lee Myung-bak, who was elected president on the ticket of the Grand National Party, also used the beloved song ``Trust Me.''
