Zara launches online store
Fashion brand Zara launched an online shopping mall in Korea on Sept. 24. The online mall provides the same range of products offered at the same price as those in offline Zara stores. The online mall offers various search options for customer convenience and photos, look-books, and videos featuring recent collections. Customers may receive orders at their homes free of delivery charge for prices above 49,000 won. Exchange and return policies are identical to those applied in offline stores. ‘Discover Korea’ at Grand Hyatt Incheon
In light of the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon, Restaurant 8 located on the first floor of the Grand Hyatt Incheon will offer “Discover Korea” menus until Oct. 31. Targeting international visitors staying for the Asian Games, the restaurant will be serving traditional Korean dishes such as snow crab meat salad and sweet pumpkin porridge with the finest seasonal ingredients. The dishes are cooked with fresh local ingredients without any artificial seasoning. A vegetarian option is also available. Lunch prices are 66,000 won per person and dinner costs 88,000 won. Aloft Hotel opens in Gangnam
Aloft, a business hotel brand of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, opened its first hotel chain in Cheongdam-dong, southern Seoul, on Oct. 1.
The Aloft Seoul Gangnam has 188 rooms with four suite rooms, business meeting facilities, fitness center, and a bar and restaurant.
The hotel has 2.8 meter-high ceiling which is higher than the average ceilings at hotels, and Bliss products as bathroom amenities. Free Wi-fi is provided.
A unique service at the hotel is Aloft VIP (Very Important Pet) program which allows guests to bring their pets during the stay and Camp Aloft which provides tents for children to sleep in.

Tourism Australia launches culinary tour campaign
The Australian tourism board, Tourism Australia, launched a culinary travel campaign “Restaurant Australia” to promote food and wine of the country.
A campaign launching event was held at the Australian Embassy in Seoul on Sept. 23.
The country’s tourism office aims to brand the country as a food and beverage destination leveling up to the image of France and Italy.
The campaign will promote the 3Ps ― people, places, and produce ― as reasons to visit the country.
Tourism Australia will hold a Facebook event until Oct. 5 where users who leave messages beneath a campaign video may win prizes. Two people will be selected and provided with a round-trip ticket to Australia while 30 others can receive wine and gift sets. To participate in the event, visit www.facebook.com/wowaustralia.com.
Finnair features fall promotion
Finnair is offering round-trip tickets to 28 cities in Europe at discounted rates this fall.
Rates for tickets departing from Incheon to the European cities between Nov. 1 and March 31 next year start at 1.041 million won for economy class and 2.485 million won for business class. Tickets to Helsinki start at 1.251 million won for economy class. All rates are inclusive of tax and fuel surcharges. The promotion will run through Oct. 10. Gallery Namchon hosts “men’s exhibition”
Gallery Namchon in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, is hosting an exhibition titled “Gentlemen and Craftsmen.”
It will feature works of painter Guk Dae-ho, photographer Kim Yong-ho, “hanbok” or Korean traditional clothes designer Lee Hye-soon of hanbok brand Damyeon, seal engraver Jung Go-am and Swedish sleep technology brand Duxiana and local furniture showroom Mobel LAB.
