New York-based artist Kim In-hae introduces her newest series, "Fantasia," to her home country at Art Busan 2015 at BEXCO this weekend.

Her fanciful paintings represent the artist's endless pursuit of childhood innocence. With large, sparkly eyes, figures in Kim's paintings reveal the fantasy inside the artist that has been built, shaped, and groomed since her childhood.

Her “Eye the Children” series centers on the symbolism behind the eyes and evokes nostalgia, bringing back childhood dreams.

According to her artist's statement, Kim "has an imaginative mind that flows with innovative adventures which blossom with child-like innocence."

Kim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York and also attended Parsons the New School for Design to earn an associate in Applied Science.

She debuted at a solo exhibition at Elga Wimmer PPC in New York City's gallery district, Chelsea, and has participated in other group exhibitions.

Kim is presented by Space 776 from Brooklyn, New York, at Busan's largest art fair.

Established in 2012 as Art Show Busan, the contemporary art fair changed its name to Art Busan this year. The event features 201 galleries from 16 countries, including 84 from overseas.

Art Busan 2015 runs through Monday. For more information about the artist, visit www.inhaekim.com.
