Artist Lee Bo-suk will open her 23rd solo exhibition at the Seoul Chosun Ilbo Museum, Wednesday.

In her latest showing ``Arirang ― The World of Story Telling Hangeul 2009,'' Lee once again displays artwork deeply rooted in traditional Korean culture, particularly the Korean alphabet or ``hangeul.'' It runs through Dec. 1.

Lee, the current president of 21 Century International Creative Artists Association (21 C ICAA), is famous for reinterpreting Korean art.

She is particularly interested in interpreting the beauty of hangeul and incorporating its elements into her artwork.

Lee graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Hongik University and the Repin Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia.

She has participated in many exhibitions in China, Japan, Italy, Germany and Russia. Last year, she held an exhibition at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

To get to the Seoul Chosun Ilbo Museum, get off the subway at City Hall Station, Line 1, Exit 3. Go straight and turn left at the Seoul Metropolitan Council. The museum is across the street from the British Council. Visit www.leebosuk.com. Call (02) 724-6328 for information.
