1/3 of bosses think excess makeup is an eyesore

More than one out of three bosses think the women they work with wear too much makeup, according to a poll on officebroker.com.

Apparently, caking one’s face with foundation and overdoing the smoky eye shadow are a recipe for achieving the ultimate look not suitable for the workplace, the Daily Mail has reported.

The award for the most unattractive makeup went to flashy-colored lipstick, which won with 32 percent of business heads agreeing that such colors are a big no.

Excessive eye makeup came in second place, with 28 percent of the votes, and an overabundance of blush came in last with 15 percent.

A total of 500 British men and women bosses participated in the survey and said that light makeup is acceptable in the office.

A spokesman for the website stated that although many people try to look their best at work, they oftentimes end up going overboard.

So ladies should be more cautious of how much makeup they put on next time they go to work and remember to save the dramatic false eye lashes and clown-red lipstick for another occasion.
