China 'actively reviewing' draft UN resolution against North Korea
China has been "actively reviewing" a draft U.N. resolution against North Korea following last week's nuclear test, South Korea's chief nuclear envoy said Friday after talks with Chinese officials.
Hwang Joon-kook, Seoul's chief envoy on North Korea's nuclear issues, held talks with his Chinese counterpart, Wu Dawei, and Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong on Thursday.
Li told Hwang that China "is actively reviewing a draft U.N. resolution with a sense of urgency."
"In drawing up the U.N. resolution, the Chinese side will actively cooperate with South Korea," Li was quoted as saying by Hwang.
North Korea announced on Jan. 6 that it successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb that marked the North's fourth nuclear test. (Yonhap)
