N. Korean Envoy to Belgium Named
North Korea recently appointed its ambassador to Britain to serve conrurrently as its envoy to Belgium, the communist state's state-run radio reported Thursday.
"DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary Ja Song-nam presented his credentials to Belgian King Albert II on March 12," the North Korean Central Broadcasting Station said.
Ja was named ambassador to Britain in February last year, and is also serving as ambassador to Luxemburg and Ireland.
Ja, in his mid-50s, is a career diplomat with expertise in arms reduction and U.S. affairs. (Yonhap)
