British Ambassador to Korea Colin Crooks, left, shakes hands with Korea Britain Society (KBS) executive director Daniel Fertig after signing a memorandum of understanding to support the Chevening Scholarship at the ambassador's residence in central Seoul, Thursday. The scholarship, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, covers full funding for a one-year master's program in the U.K., and KBS' sponsorship guarantees one student annually will receive the scholarship until 2026. Crooks commended the society for its unwavering support and encouraged applicants from diverse backgrounds, including North Korean-born people, to apply for the scholarship.
