A Korean tourist went missing over the weekend after “leaving for paragliding” in Kangra, in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

According to the Korean Embassy in India and local media reports, the man, surnamed Lee, has been missing since June 15. Hotel officials reportedly said he went paragliding.

Local residents later found his paragliding equipment hanging from a tree in the Dharman area, but there was no trace of him.

“Police and local rescue authorities are conducting a profound search operation,” Rakesh Prajapati, the district's deputy commissioner, told
