A Korean college student has been found dead in London after being missing for a week.
British media reported Saturday (local time) that the student, 21, surnamed Chang, who lived at Goldsmiths in New Cross, was found on Wapping Beach on Nov. 13 after she disappeared on Nov. 6.
She is believed to have taken her own life. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
Chang, known as Jennifer, was studying Fine Art and History of Art. She lived in Goldsmiths student accommodation.
Elisabeth Hill, Deputy Warden of Goldsmiths, University of London,
said, “It is with sadness that we have learnt of the death of Chang, a third-year undergraduate student at Goldsmiths.
“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this extremely difficult time. This is a sad loss for our community and we are ensuring that support is available to all those who knew her.”
