Park accepts resignation of education secretary

President Park Geun-hye has accepted the resignation of the senior presidential secretary for education, her office said Saturday.

Cheong Wa Dae, however, did not provide the reason why Song Kwang-yong has offered to resign, saying only that he wanted to get back to a university.

In June, Song, a professor at Seoul National University of Education, was chosen by President Park as the secretary in charge of education and culture. (Yonhap)
