Hanukkah:
Israeli Ambassador Yigal Caspi, right, speaks during the Hanukkah celebration, a Jewish holiday, at his residence in Itaewon, Seoul, last Tuesday. Hanukkah is an eight-day festival of lights that starts on the 25th of Kislev according to the Hebrew Calendar. The festival commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt in the second century BC, and is observed by lighting candles each night. Next to the ambassador is his wife Michal.

Fiona Uden, right, wife of British Ambassador Martin Uden, donates scarves, hats and blankets to Shin Jae-kook, major of the Salvation Army Seoul First Corps, a charity organization founded in London in 1865. The First Korean branch opened in 1908. The embassy staff donated the winter items.
