International Bazaar
Seoul International Women's Association (SIWA) invites Korean families and friends to the 2007 SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar on Nov. 18. at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Hongeun-dong, Seoul.
The annual bazaar will be showing a variety of cultural items like accessories and food from more than 40 countries.
Diplomats and spouses of foreign ambassadors, are to participate in the bazaar.
There will be games for children; cultural entertainment from 20 different international groups; lottery tickets and instant lucky draw prizes.
Tickets are 10,000 won, while children aged below 12 are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the door and online at www.siwapage.com, or by contacting Caroline Rempel at crempel28@hotmail.com.
The bazaar will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All profits will be donated to Korean charities.
Taste South African Wine
The South African Embassy will offer wine lovers and others who'd like to have a taste of South African wine several events in Seoul this week and next week.
At seven o'clock on Nov. 14 there will be a free wine tasting event in the lounge lobby of the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam. After the tasting, you will be able to purchase bottles of South African wine at half price. For registration or information, call at 02-531-6612.
The second event is a South African wine dinner on Thursday Nov. 22 at seven p.m. at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam. Dinner will cost 40,000 plus tax.
