Streaming giant Netflix is teaming up with Yeon Sang-ho, the director of the hit horror film “Train to Busan,” for a new original series.

The company announced the project Thursday, which will be titled “The Hell.”

The thriller series, based on the webcomic of the same name, will revolve around a group of people who encounter supernatural creatures from hell.

Director Yeon collaborated with popular cartoonist Choi Gyu-seok to create the comic, which is still published weekly on Naver. The two creators will co-write the series.

Yeon made his directorial debut in 1997 with a short animation film. He got his first break as a director with the zombie thriller film “Train to Busan” in 2016.

The director recently finished the tvN series “The Cursed,” for which he wrote the scripts. He is now working on the action film “Peninsula,” starring Kang Dong-won and Lee Jung-hyun.
