State-run broadcaster KBS will end one of its longest-running shows “Happy Together” this month.

The network said Tuesday that the production of the talk show would stop after the Mar. 28 taping.

“'Happy Together,' which has been running nonstop over the past 19 years, will be taking a break to make readjustments,” it said, hinting the possibility for renewal.

The show has aired since November of 2001 and became the longest-running talk show among three major networks ― SBS, KBS, and MBC.

It has been one of the main programs that represent the network. However, as time passed, it slowly lost its foothold among other variety shows in the same time slot, such as TV Chosun's recent hit audition show “Mr. Trot.”

Its viewership rating has been falling below 4 percent since the start of this year.

The last episode will go on air on April 2.
