Actor Park Hae-jin has donated protective gear to the production crew of the drama he is shooting as coronavirus fears grip the country.

Park, 36, has provided 500 mouthwashes and 1,000 masks to help prevent the spread of the virus during shooting of MBC's new drama “Old School Intern.”

This is the actor's second donation regarding the highly contagious disease.

He sponsored the entire funding of a safety video produced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Fire Agency, and featured in the video at no cost.

Park said he was “inspired by the generous donations made by his Chinese fan club.” Last month, the fan club teamed up with 18 other celebrities' fan clubs and donated 10 tons of hand sanitizer and medical gear, including masks, to a Wuhan hospital.

Park debuted in 2006 with the drama “Famous Princesses.” He has starred in numerous hit dramas including “My Love from the Star” (2013).

He is currently playing the lead character ― a firefighter ― in KBS drama “Forest” with co-star Cho Bo-ah. His next work, “Old School Intern,” is set to air in May.
