National football player Son Heung-min, a striker for Tottenham Hotspur, will reveal his life story in a new tvN documentary.
The program is tentatively called “Sonsational,” which combines “Son” and “sensational.” It has been Son's nickname since he was a striker for Hamburg SV in Germany's Bundesliga, where he starred.
The documentary will retrace Son's steps as a player. In particular, it will disclose how he has to work hard at surviving in the English Premier League (EPL) that is crowded with world-class footballers.
The announcement of the documentary has excited fans and raised expectations that they might learn things they did not know about their hero.
“Son decided to get involved in this project to leave a record of his life and interact with his followers,” a spokesperson said.
The documentary is scheduled to air in first half of this year.
Meanwhile, Son is playing at the AFC Asian Cup 2019. Korea advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Bahrain on Tuesday and is set to play Qatar on Friday at Al Ain, UAE.
