TV show to feature celebrities trade secondhand goods

By Park Jin-hai

Popular online reality show “Gae Ideuk,” which literally means “big gains,” returns for its second season on JTBC2, showing celebrities who conceal their identities trading goods at a secondhand market.

The first season featured “Running Man” star and musician Haha appearing in disguise. After seeing an online sale offer one of his old autographed CDs, he went in person to meet the seller to buy back his CD. Singer Im Chang-jung also met an old fan who put Im’s old CDs on the secondhand market to pay for an overseas trip.

The second season will be 12 30-minute episodes. In each episode, two celebrities will do their trading for a hidden camera.

Singers Tony An and Lee Jae-won from late 1990s K-pop boy band H.O.T will appear in the first episode. Its online version will premiere on Naver TV and MOMO X’s online channels on Aug. 29. The TV version will hit the airwaves on JTBC2 the following day.

The second season was jointly produced by mobile content maker Momocon and broadcasting company JTBC2.
