2NE1 to release final single

K-pop girl group 2NE1 will release its final single this month before the group breaks up, according to YG Entertainment.
The news came weeks after the quartet agreed to disband last November, when members ― rapper CL and vocalists Dara and Park Bom ― announced on social media their decision to disband, saying they were very sorry.
The group’s last single “Good Bye” will be released on Jan. 21.
The three members ― except Minzy, who left several months ago to go solo ― will feature in the song and its video. It will be the band’s first release since “Gotta Be You” in 2014.
“The group will express in "Good Bye" how sorry the members are for the sudden disbandment,” an agency official said.
“This will be their official goodbye to fans.”
Formed in 2009, the group has been a leading K-pop girl group for seven years.
Hits include “Lonely,” “Can’t Nobody,” and “I Am the Best.”
After the band disbands, CL and Dara will stay with the agency because they are still under contract. Park Bom will leave the agency.
