September a big comeback month for K-pop stars

A herd of K-pop stars are set to return in September, which will help reinvigorate the domestic music scene that has had its trend-setting juggernauts absent for months.
They include Im Chang-jung, SHINee, Red Velvet, Clazziquai and MC Mong.
Im Chang-jung will make his stage comeback on September 6 with his 13th full-length album. His 12th full-length album was released in 2014.
Top K-pop boy band SHINee will host its comeback concert at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena on September 3-4, during which it will unveil the songs from its new album.
K-pop girl band Red Velvet will release its new album next month, although details are still unconfirmed, according to its agency, SM Entertainment.
Clazziquai, an electronic and jazz band, will release its seventh album on Sept. 7, ending its two-year absence. The three-member band, comprised of DJClazzi, Horan, and Alex, will also host a comeback concert at Seoul’s Blue Square Samsung Card Hall on September 24.
Meanwhile, hip-hop singer MC Mong’s comeback plan has stirred public uproar. He plans to return to the stage with his seventh album early next month, but few welcome his return because he was indicted in 2010 on a charge of harming himself to dodge mandatory military service. His conviction was confirmed by the Supreme Court in 2012, which handed down a suspended jail term.
