Best scenes in 'Descendants of the Sun' that set ratings records

The popular drama “Descendants of the Sun” has set rating records with every episode.
The KBS 2TV series was viewed by 28.8 percent of TV homes nationwide on March 18, up 0.3 percent from its previous record.
In and around Seoul, the figure remained at 30.5 percent.
The main characters ― Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki) and Kang Mo-yeon (Song Hye-kyo) ― featured in many sweet-and-romantic scenes that attracted viewers.
The Korea Times has selected three best scenes from the drama from the eight episodes so far.
1. “Let’s go see a movie together when I get back.”

In the second episode, Yoo and Kang are supposed to have a date, but Yoo has to return to the battlefield. Before leaving, Yoo says to Kang,“Let’s go see a movie together when I get back,” and they serendipitously reunite in the fictional war-torn country of Uruk.

The scene registered 20.8 percent, according to Nielsen Korea.
2. “Then save his life!”

In the third episode, Kang is chairman of the League of Aram States in Uruk, but the interests of the Korean army and the league clash for political reasons. Yoo helps Kang lead the league, although he disobeys his superior’s orders. The scene registered 30.5 percent.
3. “If I knew I’d die like this, I should have kissed him!”

In episode seven, an earthquake strikes Uruk. Yoo leads the rescue operation with Kang offering medical assistance. Yoo enters a building that looks about to collapse at any moment to save survivor, but gets stuck under the debris. A team of soldiers saves him.
When it is time for the medical team to leave Uruk, Kang decides to stay. That evening, she plays music that reverberates across the barracks, which is followed by what she believes will be her final words when the car she is in almost falls over a cliff: “If I knew I’d die like this, I should’ve told him (Yoo) how I truly felt ― that I think I’ve been kissed by a wonderful man.” Hearing these words from a recording, Yoo flashes a smile.
The scene registered 34.7 percent.
