Loudmouth TV personality Noh Hong-chul, whose celebrity career came after his debut as a video-jockey for “Dr. Noh’s Pleasure Street” on cable network Mnet a decade ago, has hit the streets again for his one-man TV show,
“Noh Hong-chul’s Street Show.”
Noh, 36, visited the streets of Hongdae, a popular Seoul nightspot, and talked to people with his smartphone on a selfie stick.
Crowds noticed the star, who featured in MBC variety show “Infinite Challenge” from 2005 until 2014, and swarmed around him. Noh chatted with a male street dancer wearing women’s make-up, a group of drunken women and a teenage couple on a date.
One street vendor complained to Noh that people were hampering her business. Noh apologized and moved on.
The first episode of “Noh Hong-chul’s Street Show” airs on tvN Sunday.
Noh took a break at the end of 2014 after being charged with drinking and driving. He resumed his career in September with a pilot program on MBC.
