Jin Se-yeon to play heroine

Actress Jin Se-yeon will star in a new historical drama, “The Flower in Prison,” which will begin airing next March, two years after she finished the 2014 SBS drama “Doctor Stranger.”

Actor Go Soo is under consideration as the male lead opposite Jin, BH Entertainment said Tuesday.

The new drama, to air on MBC on weekends at 10 p.m., is about lawyers in the Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910). Jin will take the role of Ongnyeo (Lee Su-won) who helps the falsely accused.

Lee Byung-hoon, a popular producer known for “Hur Jun” (1999) and “Sangdo” (2001), will direct the drama.
