YG Entertainment said Friday that it will establish its entertainment facility in the United States in 2015.
One of the nation’s big three talent agencies, which is home to iconic K-pop stars such as Psy and BigBang, will join “The Source,” a multi-use complex for entertainment, food and shopping, to be completed in 2015 in Orange County in California.
YG recently joined hands with M+D Properties, a U.S.-based real estate management firm, as a joint business partner in the area now under development.
The company will use the facility as the strategic point to boost their entertainment business in North American region.
The agency has tentatively named it “YG Land” which it will open in the area as an all-in-one system helping its entertainment business from production, performance to promotion. The facility will be equipped with recording studios, training studios and other creative content spaces.
“We’ve recently signed with M+D Properties. We will cooperate with it for diverse business models such as planning and developing the food and beverage franchises and tourists packages combining hotels, shopping and performances,” a YG official, said.
The company will also promote its brand image and artists such as Psy, BigBang and 2NE1 and other contents there through diverse mediums such as billboards and electronic displays.
