BTS are officially back, and making sure the whole world notices.

On Feb. 3, RM posted a photo on his personal social media account with the caption, “BTS is back in business after four years.” The casual phrase instantly went viral among fans, signaling the group’s long-awaited return as a full lineup.

In the relaxed selfie, RM wears a mask and brushes back his hair, but the understated image contrasted sharply with the massive scale of what followed. The post gained even more attention because it came just a day after all seven members departed together via Incheon International Airport for Dubai on Feb. 2 — their first full-group overseas schedule in nearly four years.

The timing made RM’s message feel less like a joke and more like a declaration.

The group is set to hold “BTS comeback live: Arirang” at 8 p.m. on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul. The live event will celebrate the release of their new album “Arirang” and feature first-ever performances of new songs, including the title track, in one of Korea’s most symbolic public spaces.

BigHit Music said, “The new album ‘Arirang’ reflects BTS’s starting point, identity and the emotions they want to convey at this moment,” adding, “Because of the symbolic meaning of the word ‘Arirang,’ we wanted to unveil the first stage in a place that represents Korea.”

The concert is historic in itself, as it marks the first time a singer has held a solo concert at Gwanghwamun Square.

The scale is even larger thanks to a partnership with Netflix. The Gwanghwamun event will be livestreamed in real time to viewers in more than 190 countries and regions, marking the first time a live event held in Korea will be broadcast globally through the streaming platform.

The comeback does not stop there. On March 27, Netflix will release the exclusive documentary film “BTS: the return,” which chronicles the group’s album production process. The film captures BTS’s reflections and journey as they prepare their first new album in approximately four years.

Following the release, BTS will launch a massive world tour beginning April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex’s main stadium. The tour spans 34 cities with a total of 82 shows. All 41 dates across North America and Europe, including the Goyang concerts, sold out rapidly, underscoring the group’s sustained global demand.
