G-Dragon's 'Ubermensch' world tour wraps with sold-out Seoul shows, BIGBANG reunion

G-Dragon continues to prove why he’s one of K-pop’s most prominent stars with an unmistakable style that has captured the imaginations of the global audience for nearly 20 years.
Debuting in 2006 as the leader of BIGBANG, he helped take K-pop to new heights with classic hits such as “BANG BANG BANG” and “Fantastic Baby.”
The K-pop icon returned as a solo artist in February with “Ubermensch,” his first solo album in 12 years, and kicked off a world tour that showcased his musical evolution and lasting impact on pop culture across Asia, Australia and North America.
The tour concluded in Seoul with an encore run of three nights at the Gocheok Sky Dome over the weekend, with all dates selling out in just eight minutes.

Even before G-Dragon appeared on stage for Sunday’s concert, the stadium buzzed with anticipation, as if the crowd knew they were about to witness something extraordinary — a journey through the highlights of his storied career.
The crowd's excitement was instantly worth the wait as the lights dimmed and G-Dragon was unveiled on stage wearing a crown. He got the party started in style with “POWER," instantly setting the tone for the rest of the evening as everyone danced along. It was a visual spectacle you couldn’t take your eyes off of.
Fans were sent into a frenzy with big special appearances as G-Dragon performed “HOME SWEET HOME,” with his BIGBANG bandmates Taeyang and Daesung. It was their first live performance together since September 2024 at Taeyang’s solo concert, signaling their imminent comeback plans.

G-Dragon had more surprises up his sleeve as he brought out “Street Woman Fighter 2” winner Bada Lee for a dance break during “Too Good,” in which she performed parts of her viral “Smoke” choreography. He also brought out the Korean beatbox-acapella group, Beatpella House, during one of G-Dragon’s outfit changes, providing a fresh and unique concert experience for the audience.
One of the early highlights of the set was the pulsating performance of his 2012 hit “Crayon.” It encapsulated the best elements of G-Dragon as the performance was visually striking and high-octane, which he made look effortless. He swaggered across the stage as an army of backup dancers surrounded him and strobe lights, confetti cannons and pyrotechnics went off around him.
He had the crowd in the palm of his hands, the connection between artist and audience in full force during performances such as “CROOKED,” singing in unison with their light sticks in the air.
For the first encore, G-Dragon appeared on a daisy-covered float and paraded around the stadium like royalty, fitting for the “King of K-pop.” He performed BIGBANG’s “This Love” and his solo track “1 Year” while giving fans at the further ends of the venue a chance to see him perform up close and personal.

Following his performance of “IBELONGIIU,” G-Dragon left the stage with the fans pleading for more as cries of “encore, encore” echoed around the Sky Dome. The fan’s patience was repaid as he returned on the stage accompanied by two familiar friends, Taeyang and Daesung.
They performed “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” and “A Fool of Tears” as they electrified the crowd. The brief mini-reunion was a teaser of things to come as 2026 approaches. After a memorable 2025 for G-Dragon, the artist will carry his momentum into next year as BIGBANG are set to make an official comeback with highly-anticipated appearance at Coachella.
During a recent concert, G-Dragon publicly addressed the controversy and criticism surrounding his past live performances. However, the 39th and final show of the “Ubermensch World Tour” reaffirmed why he is still one of the hottest tickets in town and has been for almost 20 years.
