BTS leader RM is set to deliver a keynote speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit set for Wednesday in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
It is the first time a K-pop artist will take part in an APEC summit as a speaker. RM will speak in English about the APEC region's culture industry and the Korean culture's soft power.
Leaders of 21 member economies and businesses will attend the APEC CEO Summit, a business forum discussing innovative industries and new trends.
BTS is set to release a new album in spring, and is preparing for a world tour, the group's first in six years. According to reports, BTS will stage 65 performances around the world during the upcoming tour.
Bo-eun leads the digital content team. She has covered foreign affairs, North Korea, tech, economy and gender issues at The Korea Times. She did a short stint at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, where she obtained a new perspective on news production and life. Small sources of joy for her are lounging in the sun, having a good latte and swimming.
