Cravity to drop new single following 'Road to Kingdom' win

K-pop boy group Cravity will be making a comeback with a new single album, "FIND THE ORBIT," about 10 months after releasing its seventh mini-album, "EVERSHINE," in February.
The group's agency, Starship Entertainment, announced the upcoming album will be released on Dec. 5, sharing a teaser photo and concept video.
The 30-second concept film shows the group setting out to find the letter "I" in the word "ORBIT," figuratively referring to the group's search for their self and own identity.
"The group is set to show they took another step into growth, hinting at another unique concept. With each album release, Cravity has shown steady growth by incorporating its signature youth narrative, achieving career-high records," the agency said in a press release.
The group's previous album, "EVERSHINE," earned Cravity its first trophy at KBS' music show "Music Bank" and recorded over 270,000 sales in the first week of its release.
Cravity recently clinched first place on Mnet's music survival show "Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace," which follows different K-pop boy groups who compete to emerge as the top performers.
In the final episode, aired on Thursday, the group competed against four contenders — ONEUS, 8TURN, YOUNITE and The CrewOne — winning the top prize of 100 million won ($71,600) and a ticket to be on the KCON 2025 stage.
"Actually, in the beginning of the show, we would hear people saying 'Cravity is going to take the win.' And because we had to prove ourselves, and wanted to protect Cravity as a team for a long time, we worked really hard. So we're very happy," the group said on the show following the winner's announcement.
The nine-piece act — consisting of Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung and Seongmin — debuted in 2020 with the album "HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE," which brought them to the spotlight and earned them the Rookie of the Year Award at the Melon Music Awards that year.
Cravity recently held fan concerts, "2024 CRAVITY FAN-XON 'BEYOND YOUR MEMORIES'," on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 and released its second Japanese single, "SHOW OFF," in June.
The group is set to perform at a special concert for the show, "2025 Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE," at KSPO Dome in Seoul's Songpa District, on Jan. 4 and Jan. 5.
