Former Loona members reunite as Loossemble

Recently rebranded K-pop girl group Loossemble presented its self-titled debut album released on Sept. 15, and discussed their emotions regarding their fresh start as a new group.
Comprising the five former members of Loona ― Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon and Hyeju ― the group parted ways with its previous agency to unite under the name "Loossemble," which combines "Loona" and "Assemble," signaling their new beginning.
During a press event held at Ilchi Art Hall in southern Seoul's Gangnam District, Tuesday, Vivi, the eldest member of the group and a Vietnamese national, explained the concept behind the newly formed group.
"Including the concept of this album, we will persistently sing about the value of each other as fellow members of the 'Loossemble' spacecraft, embarking on a fresh narrative," Vivi said.
Member Hyeju exuded confidence regarding the album, remarking, "We've embraced a more mainstream and accessible musical style compared to our time in Loona."
The strategy resonated well with the public, as the album exceeded 70,000 sales during the first week of its release, a strong performance for a girl band.
The members expressed their surprise and gratitude for the enthusiastic fan response. Hyeju noted, "I believe the results reflect the foundation we've built through our previous pursuits."
They unanimously acknowledged the challenges of debuting again under a new name.
Gowon shared her personal experience, stating, "Embarking on this new journey was quite daunting for me. However, after numerous discussions with my fellow members, we realized our shared desire to accomplish more, reconnect with our fans and rekindle the excitement. This spirit motivated us to join hands and wholly embrace this re-debut."
Loossemble also revealed that fans and fellow members played pivotal roles in surmounting the hardships. Yeojin expressed how crucial the support of their fans was during the decision-making process.

"Taking on this new challenge wasn't without its difficulties, but having such dedicated and brave fans behind us made a significant difference," she said.
The group's leader Hyunjin attributed their progress to the unity among the five members. "I believe we've come this far because all five of us are completely aligned in our purpose," she noted.
As former Loona members like Chuu and Yves have resumed their activities, fans are hopeful for a full Loona reunion.
Yeojin expressed optimism about the possibility of such a reunion. "The members of Loona continue to support one another. We always maintain an open-minded outlook towards the prospects of full-fledged group activities. I'm willing to wait with an open heart, ready to deliver a stellar performance to our fans whenever the time is right," she said.
