SinB, Eunha and Umji, the members of disbanded K-pop act GFriend, are set to form a new group, according to their new management company Big Planet Made (BPM) Wednesday.

The news came about five months after all GFriend members terminated their contracts with the group's former agency Source Music in May. Source Music is a subsidiary of HYBE, home to K-pop behemoth BTS.

BPM added that SinB, Eunha and Umji inked an exclusive contract recently with the company. BPM is a newly established record label that also represents Soyou of the now-defunct girl group Sistar.

“We will provide unwavering support to all three of them, so that they can take a leap with their careers,” BPM said in a statement. Some speculated that the name of the new act was “VIVIZ,” but the company said it has not been decided yet.

SinB, Eunha and Umji took to social media to deliver the news about their return.

“We are sorry and grateful to our fans, who have been waiting so long,” Eunha said. “We want to pay you back with good music and performances.”

The three debuted as six-piece act GFriend in 2016 with the mini-album “Season of Glass.” Before its dissolution, GFriend dropped a series of hits such as "Glass Bead," (2015) "Me gustas tu (2015)" and "Apple" (2020).

Three other GFriend members ― Sowon, Yerin and Yuju ― signed contracts with different companies after departing from Source Music. Sowon is currently represented by IOK Company and Yerin is with Sublime Artist Agency, while Yuju is managed by Konnect Entertainment, a label established by K-pop star Kang Daniel in 2019.
