Xiyeon, formerly of now-disbanded K-pop girl group Pristin, has signed an exclusive contract with a new management company.
“We are glad to make a fresh start with Xiyeon,” Soo Yeon Kang Entertainment said in a statement, Friday. “We will provide full support to the star so that she can display her talent as much as she wants.”
Xiyeon became known on the first season of Mnet's audition program “Produce 101” (2016). She debuted as a member of the 10-piece band Prsitin ― comprising Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Sungyeon, Kyla, Yehana and Xiyeon ― in 2017. But the group disbanded in 2019.
Xiyeon is set to feature in independent film tentatively titled “Sillim Man and Woman.” The company said she would appear in diverse works in the coming days.
