K-pop boy band NCT DREAM has dominated music charts with its fresh number “Ridin,'” released on Wednesday.
“Ridin,'” an urban trap-flavored lead track off the group's fourth mini-album “Reload,” had taken No. 1 spot on Melon and Vibe, among others, as of Thursday morning.
“The number is very energetic and seems to match well with us,” member Haechan said in an email Q&A, Wednesday. “We might be able to display cool performances on the stage.”
“Reload” also conquered daily album charts on Hanteo, Kyobo and YES24. The EP recorded 500,000 pre-orders as of April 28, according to the group's agency SM Entertainment. It offers four B-side tracks including the EDM hip-hop based “Quiet Down,” the refreshing “7 Days,” the R&B hip-hop song “Love Again” and the acoustic “Puzzle Piece.”
NCT DREAM, comprising Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung, debuted with the single “Chewing Gum” in 2016. It is a sub-unit of SM's boy group NCT.
