Singer Koo Ha-ra signs contract with Japanese agency

Singer Koo Ha-ra has signed a contract with Japanese agency “Production Ogi,” according to
Saturday.
“Koo impressed us by saying she would make another attempt in Japan,” a production official was quoted as saying.
She also unveiled a new profile photo on Instagram.
“I always appreciate you. I am so glad,” she wrote in Japanese. “I will strive to be better, so please support me.”
Koo attempted suicide on May 26 at her house in Gangnam, Seoul. She was found unconscious by her manager and taken to hospital. She later apologized through Japanese media for causing worries.
She has been involved in a legal battle with her former boyfriend since September, 2018. She accused him of assault and blackmail.
Koo, 28, debuted in K-pop girl band KARA in 2008. The group enjoyed global popularity, especially in Japan, with the smash-hits "Pretty Girl" and "Wanna" until it disbanded in 2016.
