A school bullying accusation has hit another K-pop singer.
Six-piece girl group Berry Good member Daye, 22, has been accused of bullying her classmates during elementary school.
The accusation was made in an online community post on Tuesday. The user wrote that Daye started physically and verbally bullying her in sixth grade because she was friends with a boy Daye liked. She claimed Daye bullied several classmates.
“She would pull my bra straps and asked boys to do the same to me,” the anonymous user said. “One day, she came to my house and made me apologize after kneeling down in front of her. She hit me when I refused to do it.”
Daye's agency denied the accusation. “We will take legal action on the user who made the false accusation,” it said.
But group fans want a more detailed statement after the user added another post rejecting the agency's initial statement.
“As fans who supported the group since its debut, we are worried that the accusation is still ongoing,” the fan community said. “We hope that the agency will release further explanations to prove it wrong.”
Daye debuted with Berry Good in 2014. The group made a comeback with the new album “Fantastic” on Saturday. But Daye was unable to join the comeback due to health issues.
