Fans of K-pop girl group MAMAMOO are showing their “power of unity” ― not to cheer for the band, but to warn its agency, which they claim is exploiting the group.

An association of the group's fans recently issued a statement warning they would boycott the band's concerts and goods unless its agency RBW reduces the band's “extremely hectic schedule.” The fans are calling for the band's December concerts to be postponed.

The agency has remained silent.

“As of now, we are considering taking strong action (unless our calls are accepted),” the association wrote in a statement publicized on Saturday.

It wrote, “We request detailed feedback from RBW, which deals with the issue of better treatment of the singers and the delaying of the concert. The boycott will continue until there is a reasonable response.”

In a previous statement on Friday, the association criticized the agency for recycling posters of past gigs in promoting the upcoming events and for wrong information involving a ticketing website.

The agency said the concerts should be held as scheduled or the band would not be able to use the contracted SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul for one year.
