Ailee to attend Grammy ceremony
R&B singer Ailee
Rising K-pop star Ailee will attend the 55th Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.
According to YMC Entertainment Friday, the 23-year-old Korean-American singer has been invited as a guest and to walk the red carpet with producer and sound engineer Tony Maserati.
Maserati, a nominee this year in the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical category, has worked with superstars including Beyonce, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, and Alicia Keys.
“When I found out that I was invited to the Grammy Awards, I was so happy that I couldn’t sleep. The Grammys is my dream stage. Although I am attending the event as a VIP guest this time, I will do my best to make sure I will become one of the nominees,” said Ailee. Ailee will also attend and perform at Mnet America’s first Pre-Grammy Party on Feb. 7.
The event will take place at the EastWest Studio, Hollywood, to celebrate the rising success of Asian influence on entertainment and pop music. Ailee will also receive the Mnet America Rising Star award.
Making her debut in 2012, the singer has become popular with such hits as “Heaven” and “I’ll Show You.”
