Stock investment-linked dividends paid from overseas to Korean investors doubled in the first three quarters of the year from a year earlier, data showed Wednesday.
Korean investors received $1.75 billion in dividends in the January-September period, up 107.6 percent from the same period a year earlier, according to data from the Korea Securities Depository (KSD).
Most of the dividends, or 93.8 percent of the total, came from companies traded on Wall Street, while 3.6 percent were from Japan and 1.1 percent from companies listed on the Hong Kong stock market.
