Financial markets to close on Dec. 29 ahead of new year

Korea's financial market will close on Dec. 29 ahead of the new year, the bourse operator said Thursday.
The country's main and tech-heavy secondary stock markets will hold their final trading session on Dec. 28, the Korea Exchange said.
The first trading session for 2024 is scheduled for Jan. 2.
The opening, however, will be delayed by an hour to 10 a.m. due to scheduled ceremonies. The market will close as usual at 3:30 p.m. (Yonhap)
