Citibank Korea launches upgraded credit card

Citibank Korea launched the Citi NEW PremierMiles Card, upgraded from Citi PremierMiles Card, the company announced Wednesday.
The new card, based on affiliation with major airlines at home and abroad, offers a high level of air miles, evergreen Citi NEW PremierMiles, and diverse redemption programs.
One PremierMile is offered limitlessly for every 1,000 won spent with the card, regardless of the prior month’s spending. And one PremierMile can be converted to 1.2 Korean Air miles or 1.6 Asiana Airlines miles. In addition, a free shuttle service to Incheon International Airport, previously unavailable, is offered twice a year, and dining services at Incheon International Airport, previously provided once a month, will be offered twice a month.
Priority Pass cards, which allow customers to use the lounges of major airports worldwide, are issued, and through affiliated Visa service, customers are able to enjoy discounts of up to 14 percent when they make payments of $300 or more on Hotels.com. Depending on annual spending, customers can earn up to 10,000 PremierMiles.
The Citi PremierMiles Card offers the prestige of the new Visa Signature services, which is a higher level than Platinum. They offer best-in-class discounts and benefits at various hotels, restaurants and golf courses, and offer unique travel-related benefits such as airport lounge access, concierge services, and valet parking at hotels and airports.
Through the Visa Signature services, the card offers specialized services such as discounts at domestic deluxe hotels, restaurants and major duty-free shops, special discounts and benefits at about 1,000 affiliated stores in 19 countries in categories including restaurants, shopping, spa and travel, and an on-site discount of up to 10 percent and additional meals at about 2,000 premium restaurants nationwide.
“The card provides a high level of air miles and diverse services, offering more benefits than existing cards considered essential for overseas travel,” a Citibank official said.
