Samsung SDS becomes Korea’s 1st reseller of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise

Samsung SDS has signed a reseller agreement with OpenAI, becoming the first company in Korea to provide and technically support ChatGPT Enterprise for local clients.
The company announced on Tuesday that the two companies have inked a partnership for Samsung SDS to deliver end-to-end support for enterprises adopting the ChatGPT product.
ChatGPT Enterprise offers enterprise-grade security and privacy protection, faster performance with unlimited higher-speed GPT‑4 access and the ability to handle longer inputs. It also provides features tailored for business use, including an expanded context window, advanced data analytics and a wide range of customization options.
“Through this agreement, we expect to lead innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) transformation for enterprise customers by being the first to offer OpenAI’s AI services to domestic corporate clients,” said Lee Ho-joon, the company’s cloud service business division leader. “We plan to supply ChatGPT Enterprise to a wide range of businesses across diverse industries.”
The company will provide comprehensive support from initial deployment through ongoing management of the service, covering technical assistance, consulting and security services.
In addition, Samsung SDS will offer implementation and operations services leveraging OpenAI’s application programming interface.
“One of OpenAI Korea’s key goals is to support domestic enterprises in their AI transformation,” said Kim Kyoung-hoon, head of OpenAI Korea. “We expect that our reseller partnership with Samsung SDS will allow more Korean companies to access enterprise-level OpenAI services.”
With this partnership, Samsung SDS plans to expand its AI service portfolio and enhance competitiveness by combining OpenAI’s cutting-edge technology with its extensive expertise in the information technology service industry to help enterprises accelerate their AI transformation.
Meanwhile, Samsung SDS will offer various promotional programs for early adopters, including configuration support, on-site training and consulting services for the initial deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise.
The partnership builds on a letter of intent on AI infrastructure cooperation signed by Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in October. The two companies plan to collaborate comprehensively across semiconductors, data centers, cloud and marine engineering, including joint work on OpenAI’s Stargate project for AI infrastructure. Samsung will also supply low-power memory chips, highly expected to be high-bandwidth memory, to power AI accelerators used in data centers.
