CJ ONE, a membership app covering more than 60 CJ-affiliated brands, has undergone a major renewal to enhance member benefits and user experience, CJ OliveNetworks said Thursday.

Launched in 2010, CJ ONE is one of Korea’s leading membership services, reaching more than 31 million members. For the past 15 years, it has achieved steady growth through cultural marketing and the expansion of external partnerships.

With the refresh, CJ ONE will evolve from a simple point-based app to a participatory platform where members can create content and earn rewards, CJ OliveNetworks said.

Highlighting the update will be a new community function, which allows members to post and exchange useful information such as discount events, app and tech tips, and ways to purchase limited-edition products.

To boost user engagement, CJ ONE will also launch a reward system called “Point Seeds.” Members can earn Point Seeds by giving and receiving likes on posts. The Point Seeds can be converted into CJ ONE points, enabling users to accumulate more points the more they participate.

In addition, the renewed app will feature bottom tab menus for more intuitive user access to key functions, such as barcode-based point collection and payment, benefit sharing and daily missions.

CJ ONE plans to launch the official version of the redesigned app in November after a beta testing period.

“The renewal will become an opportunity for CJ ONE to evolve into a community-based platform,” a CJ OliveNetworks official said. “We will continue to innovate the service so that all members can enjoy benefits and value in their daily lives while sharing experiences through CJ ONE.”
