LG CNS is seeking to enhance its presence in the domestic generative AI market by consolidating its technology development and business development organizations in the AI field into a specialized organization called AI Center, the company said Monday.
"We have launched the organization to formally establish a business structure that connects AI technology research with tangible business innovations for our corporate clients," the company said.
LG CNS will provide services that can improve work productivity and efficiency by using generative AI for its corporate clients. These include answering questions using its internal knowledge, generating visual content and supporting and automating tasks.
The company plans to apply its generative AI business with clients in various industrial sectors such as finance, manufacturing, distribution and the public sector this year.
Last year, LG CNS said it successfully conducted proof of concept projects for over 20 generative AI services with its enterprise clients.
For instance, the company developed a service that utilizes ChatGPT in the field of investment-related customer consulting with a commercial bank. Bank employees can efficiently perform customer consulting tasks without having to memorize the descriptions of investment products.
LG CNS is currently involved in projects such as a business document search service development project using ChatGPT with a domestic bank, a search service development project for product development enhancement with a domestic manufacturing company and an image generative AI service development project to improve product design efficiency with another domestic manufacturer.
"The strength of LG CNS is that our AI specialist organization and data specialist organization are closely collaborating to enhance AI services for our corporate clients," said Jin Yo-han, chief of the AI Center of the company. "Through the AI Center, we will maximize business innovation for our corporate clients."
