Global tech company Dyson has released four kinds of gifts comprised of its hair care products ahead of the year-end shopping season.

Dyson's Korean branch said that it applied special colors ― Prussian blue and rich copper ― to the hair care products ― the Dyson Corrale straightener, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and the Dyson Airwrap styler.

The combination of Prussian blue and rich copper colors was developed by Dyson's engineers, who were in charge of the company's electric vehicle project and CMF (Colors, Materials, and Finishes) team studying the color, material and finishing design of the product.

At that time, the Dyson design team came up with various color combinations for the interior design of electric vehicles, focusing on developing unique tints that are sophisticated but not trendy.

According to Dyson Korea, James Dyson, founder and chief engineer of the company, sought to develop a color that can replace commonly used black by giving it a sophisticated but neutral feeling inside of the vehicle.

“Dyson is selecting colors so that the core technologies of a product can be highlighted, while challenging existing customs that are taken for granted. The Prussian blue and rich copper colors applied to this gift edition were also developed to create freshness in car seats generally made in black,” the founder was quoted as saying according to Dyson Korea.

Its design engineers are cautious about placing color so that the core technology of the product can be accentuated. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer has a rich copper color at the center of the dryer's head, while the Dyson Corrale straightener has the same color on its flexing plate, the part that collects hair, and allows for effective styling with less heat.

Customers can try out the product free of charge, while receiving detailed explanations of various hair styling methods and products under the guidance of professional stylists at its Demo Store at the IFC Mall in Yeouido and the Dyson Beauty Lab in Sounds Hannam. The gift edition can be purchased at its Demo Store or its official website.
