Blockchain start-up investment platform Dsion participated in BBC BLOCKCHAIN 2018 X-MAS, hosted by BlueBlock Capital at California Tower in Central, Hong Kong.

The event, which took place in Hong Kong, was a networking party for leading companies in the blockchain industry. Members of the blockchain industry, tech experts, and investors gathered for in-depth discussions on investment directions and industries where blockchain will be applied.

BlueBlock Capital, the host of the event, was jointly established in Hong Kong by investors from MindWorks, a venture capital firm investing in early and growth-stage technology start-ups across Asia, and Gobi Partners, a well-known Chinese investment firm, based on over a century of collective investment experience. BlueBlock Capital supports various promising blockchain projects within Asia and has deployed professionals to support a total of twelve blockchain projects, including Metadium and Loom. The firm is composed of professionals with decades of experience not only in the traditional finance sector, such as investment banks and venture capital firms, but also in software development and consulting services.

Dsion, a participant in the BlueBlock Capital-hosted BBC BLOCKCHAIN 2018 X-MAS, discovers and invests in promising start-ups that are having difficulty with financing across the globe. Dsion aims to establish a cyclical investment ecosystem, where potential unicorn companies secure investment opportunities through the transparent and fair process of blockchain and the participation of these start-ups on the Dsion platform leads to the expansion of the platform itself. As a part of this roadmap, Dsion has been discovering promising start-ups across the globe by hosting its first Global Start-Up Challenge in Manila, Philippines, on the 24th of last month and its second Start-Up Challenge in Marina Square, Singapore, on the 9th of this month.

According to a member of Dsion, the BlueBlock Capital event was a meaningful opportunity for Dsion to expand its platform through the network it established with the various VC firms at the event.

Dsion CEO Seo Jong-pil said, “Dsion was able to establish many important and meaningful relationships through this networking party and will continue exchanges with the firms we met at this event.” He also shared that many VC firms showed their interest in Dsion’s business model. “There were many positive discussions about Dsion’s platform, and, especially regarding the Global Start-Up Challenge, firms expressed their desire to continue exchanges with Dsion to discover promising start-ups across the globe,” he added.

Dsion hopes to establish a healthy start-up investment ecosystem through the positive network it has established through its various overseas activities, such as its participation not only in BBC BLOCKCHAIN 2018 X-MAS but also in 2018 KOREA BLOCKCHAIN EXPO, hosted by The Korea Economic Daily, and ABF in Seoul, hosted for the first time by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, in October. Dsion is currently undergoing the second pre-sale of its ICO.
