LSIS shines with electricity management solutions in Europe

LSIS, the nation’s top-tier electrical equipment manufacturer, said Tuesday it has unveiled a regulating device used in electricity transmission networks, in a recent technology conference in Paris.

The company said Tuesday it participated in the Conseil International des Grands Reseaux Electriques (CIGRE) in the French city, in its bid to raise its global footsteps in energy and electrical equipment sectors. The electricity fair takes place for five days from Monday.

During the event, the company introduced its static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) technology. The STATCOM is especially used in alternating current electricity transmission networks.

In particular, LSIS is the nation’s only high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems operator. Both technologies are crucial to building a more efficient energy infrastructure, as they guarantee high efficiency and security in managing electricity.

The recent event has allowed the firm to promote its industry-leading solutions in energy and electricity management in the European market, the company said.

“Growing numbers of countries are shifting their eyes into more efficient and stable electricity management tools, and a smart energy management solutions market is expanding massively each year,” an LSIS official said.

The company previously predicted that the market scale for the global HVDC industry will exceed $143 billion by 2030, skyrocketing tenfold from $14 billion in 2010.

“For environmental and economic factors, more countries and power plants across the world are adopting smart energy management solutions,” he said.

The company said it will continue to establish strong footholds in obtaining greater technological expertise in the area, pushing aggressively for gaining more market shares on the global stage.
