AhnLab will provide security programs for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, the cybersecurity firm said Wednesday.
The nation’s leading security program provider said it has signed to an agreement with the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) to provide vaccine software for the international sporting events as its “Official Anti-Malware Software Supporter.”
“Under our new vision of making the world a more secure and thus freer place, we will do our utmost to host a safer 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics by sponsoring the event with our security programs,” AhnLab CEO Kwon Chi-joong said in a statement.
Under the sponsorship, AhnLab said it will provide the organizing committee with its personal computer security programs such as V3 Internet Security 9.0 and AhnLab Patch Management, as well as V3 Mobile Enterprise and V3 Net for Windows Server.
As an official sponsor, the company said it will have diverse marketing rights including copyright, the exclusive right to provide services and the use of official event logos, authorized by POCOG.
“Amid growing threats of intelligent cyberattacks, we will be able to establish a more stable and secure environment for the upcoming Olympics by tapping into AhnLab’s security programs,” a POCOG official said.
