Home appliance maker Coway is expanding its presence in the business-to-business (B2B) market by offering a comprehensive package that includes product recommendations tailored to clients’ operating environments, installation and after-sales care services.
Coway said Tuesday that it received orders for a total of 2,200 water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets from education company Megastudy in the first half of this year.
Last year, the company also received orders for about 9,200 water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets from NongHyup branches nationwide, as well as about 5,700 units from CJ Group affiliates.
Coway has also achieved notable results in the hotel market. The company currently supplies its products to major five-star hotels in Korea, including Conrad Seoul, Grand Hyatt Seoul, Paradise Hotel Busan and Banyan Tree Seoul.
It also installed water purifiers in every guest room at Ventimo Hotel, the first hotel on Jeju Island to adopt such a system, and later supplied water purifiers and air purifiers to all guest rooms at Jeju Shinhwa World.
Recently, Coway has been expanding its corporate customer base by building partnerships with retailers, financial companies and construction firms. It has also continued to make inroads into the business-to-government market, winning air purifier procurement projects from the Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju education offices.
In recent years, home appliance makers are increasingly focusing on the B2B market, as corporate customers are increasingly making diversified demands tailored to their environments.
To meet such demands, Coway said it provides product recommendations tailored to each corporate customer’s operating environment, along with optimal operating plans.
The company operates a dedicated B2B installation team that provides customized installation services based on clients’ requirements and the environments in which the products will be used.
For hotels in particular, Coway said it takes into account the existing interior, available space and guest convenience when determining how its products should be installed. After carefully reviewing each hotel’s room layout and operating environment, a dedicated team helps with installation to ensure a high-quality finish.
After installation, Coway provides care services through a dedicated corporate customer service organization. These include regular hygiene checks and filter replacements based on each product’s maintenance schedule, allowing corporate customers to keep their products in optimal condition without having to manage them separately.
“Based on our top-tier brand reputation and consumer trust that we have been building over 30 years, Coway provides solutions optimized for each client’s needs, resulting in high customer satisfaction,” a Coway official said. “We will continue to expand differentiated products and services tailored to corporate customers and strengthen our B2B capabilities.”
