LS Electric said Tuesday it will exhibit its full lineup of power infrastructure products at EM-Power Europe 2026 in Munich next week, targeting a European market where electrification policy is driving a sharp rise in grid investment.

The Korean electrical equipment maker will participate in EM-Power Europe — one of four trade shows under The smarter E Europe, Europe's largest energy industry expo — at Messe Munchen from June 23-25.

The company's exhibit theme is "Total Solution Provider for a Smarter Power System," encompassing products ranging from ultra-high-voltage transformers down to DC distribution solutions.

The centerpiece of LS Electric's booth will be a 132kV, 90MVA ultra-high-voltage transformer. The company has been accelerating its push into Europe's high-voltage segment after signing a 62 billion won ($45 million) supply contract for 400kV-class transformers with a German energy firm earlier this year.

Also on display will be a 1,500kVA cast-resin transformer and a 35kV medium-voltage switchgear unit.

LS Electric obtained Europe's Environmental Product Declaration certification for its distribution-grade cast-resin transformer last November — the first Korean company to do so for that product category — opening a path into Europe's green procurement market. The company plans to transition all insulation components across its power equipment lineup to halogen-free materials by the end of the year to further strengthen its position in the region.

LS Electric will also present a DC power package solution to European customers. DC-based power systems are drawing global attention as artificial intelligence data centers drive surging electricity demand and the shift to renewables makes minimizing power conversion losses increasingly critical.

The European Commission estimates the continent will require approximately 584 billion euros in grid investment by 2030, rising to around 1.2 trillion euros by 2040, including both transmission and distribution networks.

"We will emphasize our total power solution competitiveness from ultra-high voltage to distribution, and further consolidate our brand standing in Europe," an LS Electric official said.

"We will accelerate our push into Europe — our next strategic market after North America — by strengthening our eco-friendly, high-efficiency solution lineup."
