Samsung Electronics has maintained its leadership in the global market for commercial display products for 17 straight years through 2025, amid efforts to expand its portfolio, the company said Thursday.
The Korean tech giant said it accounted for 35.2 percent of the market in terms of the number of units sold in 2025, citing research conducted by industry tracker Omdia, and has maintained its leadership since taking the top position in 2009.
Samsung Electronics said it sold a record 2.5 million units of commercial display products, excluding consumer TVs, in 2025.
The company's commercial display lineup includes products such as smart signage and e-paper solutions.
"This sustained performance reflects Samsung's focus on next-generation signage that combines advanced display hardware with cloud- and artificial ingelligence (AI)-based solutions in retail, corporate, education and hospitality environments," the company said in a release.
Samsung Electronics said it will continue efforts to expand its presence in the sector by launching Samsung Spatial Signage displays this year, which offer 3D content through displays only 52 millimeters thick, delivering "immersive visual experiences" to viewers.
The company recently unveiled the 13-inch Samsung Color E-Paper, which features an ultraslim design with a thickness of 17.9 millimeters and weighs 0.9 kilogram.
"We will continue investing in displays and solutions that help our partners work more efficiently and create better experiences in any space," Kim Hyoung-jae, executive vice president of Samsung's visual display business, said in a release.
The company added it plans to launch the new AI Studio app, which "enables easy, signage‑ready video creation from a single product image," next month.
