Hyundai E&C’s premium apartment brand Hillstate is set to transform the skyline of Uijeongbu, a city just north of Seoul where more than 90 percent of apartments are over 20 years old.
The major construction company said Wednesday it will begin contract signing for Hillstate Hoeryong Station Parkview, located in Howon-dong, Uijeongbu, from Aug. 9 to 11. Of the town’s total 1,816 units, 674 will be available for sale during this period.
One of the key advantages of the upcoming Hillstate complex is its convenient access to Seoul. Located just three kilometers from the capital’s northern border, the development is close to Hoeryong Station, which connects to both Seoul subway line 1 and Uijeongbu’s light rail transit U Line. According to the company, these transit options make most areas of Seoul reachable within an hour.
The upcoming rapid transit GTX-C line, scheduled to open at Uijeongbu Station — just one stop from Hoeryong Station — in 2028, is expected to further enhance connectivity. Once operational, the line will enable residents to reach Seoul’s major business hubs, including Gangnam District, in as little as 20 minutes. Hyundai E&C noted that the Lee Jae Myung administration has pledged to complete the project on schedule, easing concerns over potential delays or cancellation.
Hyundai E&C said that despite Howon’s relatively high living standards, demand for new apartment housing remains strong, as most residential complexes in the neighborhood are over 15 years old. Aside from Hillstate Hoeryong Station Parkview, no new residential developments are expected in the area over the next five years, the company added. With 12 apartment buildings, the new Hillstate complex is poised to become a landmark and residential hub for the local community.
Hyundai E&C has set the down payment for contract signees at 5 million won ($3,600), nearly half the average amount typically required to purchase an apartment unit.
Residents of the new Hillstate town will benefit from convenient access to schools, shopping centers, cultural facilities and hiking trails. On-site community amenities will include golf practice rooms, a sauna, guest house and library. The development will also feature Hyundai E&C’s proprietary floor noise-reduction technology, the H Silent Home System I, along with a range of smartphone-connected services. (Advertorial)
